Happy birthday to me!

It is June 22, 2024, and I just turned 65. That is a miracle. I am grateful. I am the one in 100,000 still alive. I am lucky, but I've had really good doctors. And one great surgeon at Mayo Clinic who opened my chest and did crazy things to my heart. Many thanks go to Hartzell V. Schaff, M.D., and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

That quote above is from Krueger’s 100-year-old Indigenous medicine man character in this wonderful series. It sure spoke to me today. It got me to stop and think. I took that old man’s suggestion. I was worried, so I prayed. Then I made a plan.
